Bulletproof coffee is essentially coffee with butter and MCT oil. So I veganized the trendy bulletproof coffee (thus healthified it) and added some medicinal mushrooms for an abundance of health benefits.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved coffee. But recently, as I’ve started to be more aware of my body and how it reacts to certain things. I realized coffee was consistently giving me headaches and causing unnecessary anxiety.

The main component in bulletproof coffee is MCT oil (Medium Chain Triglycerides). Coconut oil contains MCT’s and gives you essentially the same benefits as straight up MCT oil. So aside from giving your coffee a yummy, rich coconut-y flavour, coconut oil speeds up your metabolism and boosts the immune system. It also helps to slow absorption, so that you don’t get jitter-y from the caffeine. Again this is overly simplified information so I don’t get all scientific on you. VEGAN BULLETPROOF COFFEE RECIPE:
16 OZ. STRONG BREWED COFFEE
1 TABLESPOON ORGANIC COCONUT OIL
1 TSP ADAPTOGENIC MUSHROOM BLEND
CINNAMON TO TASTE
SPLASH OF COCONUT MILK (OR ANY NON-DAIRY MILK)
(OPTIONAL) SWEETENER OF CHOICE - MAPLE SYRUP, COCONUT SUGAR, AGAVE
